Sandy Tobin, MSW, Life Care Coordinator. Sandy began working with older adults as a Certified Nurse’s Assistant in 1984. She thoroughly loved this job because it allowed her to spend personal, quality one-on-one time with older adults. Sandy later decided to return to school to earn a Master’s in Social Work and she attended the University of Denver where she graduated with an MSW in 1991.
Since that time she has worked as the Director of Social Services and the Director of Resident Services in nursing homes and assisted living environments. In an attempt to positively impact the lives of her clients in a broader way, she switched gears and began working at the local chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association doing community outreach and education. However, she greatly missed the daily contact with older adults so returned to the field and served as the Executive Director of a dementia specific assisted living facility. Following this, she returned to a more personal level of intervention and provided private care management services to a variety of older and disabled clients living in the community.
In her spare time Sandy keeps extremely busy keeping up with three sons and a menagerie of creatures. She and her family enjoy spending their free time in the mountains.
