Experienced, Compassionate Legal Guidance For The Issues Of Aging

Is it time for a loved one to transition to a nursing home?

On Behalf of | Oct 10, 2016 | Care Planning

If you are acting as a caregiver to an aging parent, you are likely facing many challenges. Of course, your primary concern is for the health and well-being of your loved one. But you also have to balance the needs of your parent with your own needs. It is quite possible that your parent wants no part of an assisted living facility, but you know his or her condition is becoming more and more fragile.

As such, you may believe that the time has come where the only realistic option is for your parent to have the 24-hour-a-day services provided by a nursing home. But as you are aware, there are many aspects to making such a move. First, you need to find a facility that can provide appropriate care. And you want to thoroughly vet any prospective homes to ensure that your loved one will be treated well and not neglected or abused.

But  cost  is also a serious consideration. So while you are looking for the best care possible, you also want to make sure that your family’s assets are protected and efficiently allocated.

At Vincent & Romeo, LLC, we take a  holistic approach  when serving our clients who are making major elder care decisions. We have the experience and resources that allow us to help you and your loved ones make choices that are beneficial  from  a care and financial perspective. We are prepared to help your family make this important and complex transition and would be very interested in discussing your needs.
