Brooke W. Brestel is an associate attorney with Vincent, Romeo & Rodriguez where her practice focuses on probate litigation, including protective proceedings, fiduciary representation, and contested trusts and estates.

Prior to joining the firm in 2013, Ms. Brestel attended The University of Kansas School of Law particularly for their Elder Law program. While earning her degree, Ms. Brestel won four CALI Excellence for the Future Awards, which are awarded to the student receiving the highest grade in each class. These awards were in Lawyering Skills, Elder Law Seminar, Alternative Dispute Resolution, and Emerging Family Law Issues. During law school, Ms. Brestel was a judicial intern for the Honorable Karen A. Romeo and the Honorable Mark D. Thompson in Colorado’s 5th Judicial District Court, and also worked in Kansas Legal Services’ Elder Law Unit.

Ms. Brestel is currently the co-chair of the Elder Law Section of the Boulder County Bar Association, serves as the volunteer coordinator for the Boulder County Pro-Se Probate Clinic, and proudly sits on the board of directors for Boulder County CareConnect.

Originally from Lincoln, Nebraska, Ms. Brestel earned her undergraduate degree in Journalism from the University of Nebraska –Lincoln, and is thrilled to be practicing in Colorado – the location of wonderful childhood vacation memories, and where her parents will retire. When she is not working, Ms. Brestel enjoys time with her family and golden retriever, spending as much time as possible outdoors, and cheering for her Huskers, Jayhawks, and Yankees.
